Research work and doctors’ suggestions will be continued to provide better health facilities for people: Dr. Verka

CHANDIGARH / AMRITSAR: Urging the brotherhood of physicians to constantly work for the betterment of mankind, Punjab’s Minister of Medical Education and Research, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, said on Sunday that the research and suggestions received from doctors would be sued to provide state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to the people of the state.

Inaugurating the 26th Annual Conference of Punjab Orthopedics Association “POACON-2021” on the theme “Life is movement and movement is life” organized by the Department of Orthopedics of the Government Medical College Amritsar under the aegis of the Medical Orthopedic Society, Dr Verka said that Indian physicians have made their mark around the world and their work has become a beacon for the world.

Welcoming the contribution of the Amritsar Medical College in the field of health services, the cabinet minister declared categorically: “whatever suggestions and constructive research that arose from the conference, he would carry it on to its logical end. so that Punjab could become a leading state in medical field and people could benefit from better health facilities. “

Dr Verka said Amritsar Medical School has been the hub of research and its doctors have proven themselves not only at home but also abroad. He expressed hope that the medical fraternity will do more research to save precious human lives.

“The government of Punjab is committed to providing all kinds of support to the brotherhood of doctors and will continue to take measures to provide better health facilities to people through the innovative research work of doctors,” the minister said.

Among the personalities present at the conference, let us note; Dr Raj Bahadur, Vice Chancellor, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Mr Rajiv Devgan, Director, Government Medical College, Amritsar and other dignitaries.
