Committee votes against sanction for violence in health care | Regional News

CHEYENNE — A bill to create specific offenses for assault, threat of violence and assault against health care providers failed in a vote on Tuesday. The Wyoming Joint Judicial Committee rejected the measure.

According to testimonies, the incidence of such violence has increased in recent years. Witnesses called for harsher sentences.
